Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City is known as a warehouse of talented athletes. This was proven when the shooting sports athletes made national achievements and brought honor to Malang City. As a form of pride for this achievement, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) presented trophies and award certificates to the athletes. This award was presented by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT in front of ASN in the Morning Roll Call held by Malang City Hall, Monday morning (3/6/2024).

The five athletes are Bonifacius Vega (3rd Place in Grade D Open Division), Bachtiar Afroni (2nd Place in Grade C PCC Division), TNI Captain Bayu Sekti Wichaksana (3rd Place in Grade U Production Division), Octavianus (5th Place in Grade U Production Optics), and Awangga Wisnuwardhana (10th Place in Grade U Riffle Division). These athletes participated in the Danjen Kopassus Shooting Championship 2024 in Solo which was held on 24-26 May 2024. In addition to the five athletes, there is a young shooting talent from Malang City who also contributed to the achievements of Malang City. He is Mochammad Dzaki Dwi Wighuna, a young athlete who won 3rd Place in the 100 Meter Air Pistol Men Youth in the Central Java Online Shooting Series Championship on 25-26 May 2024.
Not only presenting awards, on this occasion the Regional Secretary of Malang City also invited ASN of Malang City Government to learn from the achievements of these shooting athletes. Erik said that all activities of Malang City residents can produce achievements and provide positive impacts.
"In sports, including shooting, there is an aspect of discipline. Hopefully we can bring that discipline to our daily activities. Discipline in completing work, providing public services. This discipline must continue to color our daily lives," said Erik.
In this assembly, Erik reminded the apparatus to continue to provide optimal public services. Armed with discipline, these public servants are also encouraged to ensure that public services run properly even though several heads of regional apparatuses did not directly accompany them because they had to follow the APEKSI series in Balikpapan.
"Make sure that public services run as they should. I will conduct spot checks at public service locations including in the region to ensure that public services can run optimally," he said. (ari/yon)
