Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City Environmental Cadres collaborated with the retail company Alfamart to carry out a greening program in the Tebo Selatan area, Mulyorejo Village, Sukun District, Malang City, Sunday (2/6/2024).
There are at least 100 types of fruit seedlings such as mango, soursop, breadfruit, water apple, jackfruit and others planted on the roadside, public facilities (fasum), and around graves.
Malang City Environmental Cadre Mentor, Wasto invited the community to continue to carry out social greening activities. "The purpose is social, because in the future the existence of trees and the environment that produces fresh air will be increasingly important. Because the increasing number of housing makes green land increasingly rare," he explained.
Wasto appreciates the various things that Alfamart has done so far, which continues to roll out various programs, especially with environmental cadres to jointly preserve the environment.
Mochammad Faruq Asrori, as Alfamart's Regional Corcom Manager, said that in the framework of Alfamart's 25th anniversary, the target is to plant 25 thousand trees nationwide. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the environmental sector is one of the company's focuses.
