Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The General Election Commission (KPU) of Malang City held the Awarding Ceremony for the Winners of the Mascot and Jingle Creation Competition for the 2024 Malang Mayor and Deputy Mayor Election at The Aliante Hotel, Malang City, Saturday (8/6/2024).
The creation of the jingle and mascot was an instruction from the KPU RI with a mechanism of appointment and a competition mechanism. The KPU of Malang City also decided to use a competition mechanism because it could indirectly provide an opportunity for the wider community to participate.
Member of the Voter Education Socialization, Community Participation and Human Resources Division of the Malang City KPU, Muhammad Toyib, after the event, revealed the assessment criteria for this competition, namely originality, local wisdom, locality, audio quality and suitability of the lyrics to the Pilkada theme, namely Malang City Integration and Harmony.
"The jury for the competition includes experts, academics, sociologists, cultural figures, creative content associations and community leaders. The judging process lasts for about two weeks. We express our appreciation and congratulations to the winners," said Toyib.
This event received appreciation from the Acting Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Malang City, Drs. Alie Mulyanto. According to him, this competition is part of the creative economy and the results are very good.
"The jingle and mascot of this regional election will give spirit to the election organizers and the people in the democratic party. We hope that the implementation will run peacefully, safely and democratically, so that later a leader candidate will be elected according to the people's hopes," he continued. (say/yun)
