Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – All levels of regional apparatus within the Malang City Government (Pemkot) continue to be encouraged to optimize the use of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for the benefit of the community. This was conveyed by the Regional Secretary of Malang City, Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT in a morning assembly in the yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (10/6/2024).

Erik said that currently the Malang City Government is discussing the revised 2024 and 2025 APBD. In accordance with the direction of the Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM, all regional apparatuses are expected to be able to use the budget effectively, efficiently, and on target.
"Please map out the activities that really provide benefits to the community in particular. Routine agendas that do not directly provide community services are avoided, reduced, and abandoned," Erik emphasized in his direction.
In addition, Erik also asked the regional apparatus to immediately refocus or refocus the budget so that there is no budget allocation that does not have a direct impact. "So that there is not a single rupiah of budget allocation that does not have an impact on progress. Not only in terms of output, but also in terms of outcome, benefit and impact that the Malang City Government is currently at that level," he explained.
The Regional Secretary of Malang City also emphasized that the implementation of bureaucratic reforms must be a guideline in the running of government. "After this, map out unnecessary activities, towards the end of 2024 and in 2025. Focus on direct services, public services so that each work indicator can be achieved," he explained.
At the morning assembly, Erik also said that the Malang City Government also brought home a proud achievement from the XVII National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (Apeksi) in 2024 in Balikpapan City last week. Malang City won the Favorite Champion at the Nusantara Arts and Culture Festival and the Third Place of Hope in the Nusantara Cultural Carnival.
"Malang City Government must show its specialness, its potential. Not just to get rewards or awards but more to become a sustainable development of arts and culture. Moreover, in the midst of today's development, Malang City does not abandon local wisdom," he concluded. (ari/yul)
