Wahyu Hidayat, MM together with the Malang City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Pol Budi Hermanto, SIK, M.Si., and the Commander of the 0833/Malang City Military District, Lieutenant Colonel Arm. Aris Gunawan, M.Han witnessed the 2024 Malang City Police Chief Cup Amputee Football Tournament at the Mini Soccer Field at the Gajayana Stadium, Malang City, Sunday (17/6/2024).
In his speech, Acting Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat said that the Malang City Government (Pemkot) is ready to fully support amputee football activities in Malang City as a form of appreciation for the spirit and dedication shown by the athletes in competing.
"This is amazing. We will fully support amputee football, because our disabled friends are still enthusiastic about doing this match activity. With this match, they not only exercise, but can foster togetherness and also give their best, one of which is through this amputee football tournament," he explained.
The number one person in the Malang City Government said that he had given a message to the Head of the Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Disporapar) of Malang City to facilitate the needs of athletes, especially in terms of coaching. Because it is not impossible that in the future from this coaching, Malang City will find seeds of amputee soccer athletes.
"Hopefully we can give them one trust, so they can give the best ability of what they have to make the name of Malang City proud," he concluded. (iu/yon)
