The Acting Mayor of Malang hopes that the presence of this anti-drug ambassador can be an extension of the BNN in order to echo the anti-drug campaign to realize the City of Malang Bersinar (Clean from Drugs).

"This is the spearhead to provide socialization and understanding regarding the dangers of drugs for the community. Because if the one who conveys it is an ambassador like this, it will usually be more acceptable to the community," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City BNN, Senior Commissioner of Police. Raymundus Andhi Hedianto, SIK revealed that the Election of Anti-Drug Ambassadors is an event routinely held by the BNN. He said that the Anti-Drug Ambassadors are BNN partners to carry out various preventive efforts, especially by providing socialization to school students. Anti-Drug Ambassadors must have knowledge and understanding related to the Prevention, Abuse and Eradication of Illicit Drug Trafficking (P4GN).

"We basically want to create a healthy generation without drugs. Together with the Malang City Government, we will also plan to declare drug-free students like last year," he said.

The Head of BNN Malang said that until now there are around 40 drug addicts undergoing rehabilitation. He also said that teenagers are vulnerable to drug trafficking and use. Joint movements of all elements of society are expected to also support efforts and invite the entire community to support various efforts for this social problem.

"We expect the entire community to work together to stop the circulation and use of drugs. Because we cannot work alone, it takes the active role of all parties," he concluded. (ari/yon)
