Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The concept of transformational leadership is an art that is applied by many leaders. This leadership model encourages participation and increases the team's ability to innovate, as practiced by popular leaders such as Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Jack Ma.
The popularity of this leadership style prompted Merdeka University Malang to hold the Unmer Malang Executive Series 1 Talk Show 'Transformational Leadership in Bureaucracy', Thursday (27/6/2024).
Vice Rector IV Unmer Malang Pindo Tutuko, ST., MT., Ph.D., PgDip. said that the activity packaged in the form of a talk show as a forum to share knowledge and information from resource persons as alumni and partners of Unmer. Those who attended as resource persons were experienced people who would certainly provide extraordinary inspiration.
"This aims to increase insight based on the experiences of the resource persons. At the same time, it strengthens the network between Unmer Malang, alumni, and stakeholders so that a synergy is formed that will advance the institution, Malang City, and also the nation and state," he said.
One of the speakers at this activity was Dr. Ir. H. Ahmadi Noor Supit, MM, CSFA, CGRE, CertDA, CFrA. (member V of BPK RI). He said that in Indonesia, people still rely on the man behind the gun. "Dependence on the leader is absolute, the leader's nature greatly determines what is experienced and felt by the community. Indonesia needs strong leadership," said the man who is an alumnus of the Doctoral Program in Economics at Unmer Malang.
According to his experience, the bureaucratic system that has not been running well at all. Development is not fast and effective because of the bureaucratic 'complexity'. Therefore, Supit encourages regional heads to create innovation and run an effective and efficient bureaucracy to accelerate development.
Together with the heads and representatives of regional apparatuses, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM also attended the discussion forum. He also expressed his appreciation for the event which he said could also provide benefits for the City of Malang. (yul/yon)
