Acting Mayor of Malang Visits Emba Jeans, a Local Product that is Widely Known

Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM inspected the Emba Jeans factory located at Jl. Raya Bandulan no. 51, Sukun District, Malang City, Friday (5/7/2024). Emba Jeans is a local fashion company in Malang City that was established in 1968.

Wahyu Hidayat said his visit this time was to see firsthand the company that has been established for 56 years and to give appreciation for the company's contribution so far, one of which is seen by the many Malang City residents who become workers. "I also want to see how far Emba Jeans' production is, and it turns out that it is not inferior to other brands, both local and foreign products," explained Wahyu.

According to Wahyu, Emba Jeans products are very good, contemporary, can adjust the model and desires of the community so far, the price is also very affordable. "Emba has contributed a lot to Malang City, we from the Malang City Government will also help introduce Emba as an original Malang product," said Wahyu.

He further said that the Malang City Government also has a Kemis Mbois program which is a form of commitment to strengthening local MSME products. So far, many people still do not know that the Emba brand, which is an acronym for Embong Bandulan, is an original Indonesian product, specifically from Malang City. "This is very much in line with the Malang City Government program which continues to spur the growth and development of 17 creative economy sub-sectors, including fashion," said Wahyu.

Emba Jeans HRD Director Joko Tricahjana said he was pleased with the presence of the Acting Mayor of Malang. "So far, Emba has been distributed throughout Indonesia. We always present the best design and quality to continue to attract public interest," explained Joko.

It was stated that Emba continues to innovate in order to continue to compete with various other brands that are now emerging. His party is also optimistic amidst the competition in the garment and fashion business in Indonesia.
