The Mayor of Palu said that Malang City should be a role model because of its development and city planning. Hadianto admitted that the IPLT in Palu City is currently not running optimally. In the last two years, his party has also revitalized the IPLT in the hope of maximizing services to the community. "Malang is getting busier. This time, we want to gain knowledge in Malang City regarding IPLT. Hopefully our IPLT in Palu City can run better," he said.

The Palu City Government will assign two of its ASN to gain more knowledge related to the management of IPLT in Malang City for the next three months. "Hopefully this will be the beginning and the relationship will continue in partnership between local governments to strengthen each other," he said.

A warm welcome was given by the Acting Mayor of Malang and his staff to the Mayor of Palu and his entourage. "This is an honor, because Malang City is used as a place for internships for two ASN from Palu City, precisely at DPUPRPKP," he said.

Wahyu said that this cooperation also shows that there is good collaboration and synergy between the two regions to further improve the quality of public services. "As we are aware, currently there are more challenges. The public is smarter and more critical, so they demand quality public services. Therefore, it is important for us to continue to improve the quality of services, including the competence of the apparatus," he explained.

IPLT is one of the instruments in providing safe and proper sanitation which is one of the mandatory tasks of the local government to manage waste. IPLT Malang City has existed since 1998. In 2018, it was also built on Jalan Rawisari, Sukun District and in 2020 officially UPT PALD and IPLT were operational.

The collaboration between the Malang City Government and the Palu City Government was marked by the signing of an inter-regional cooperation agreement by the Acting Mayor of Malang with the Mayor of Palu and the Head of the Malang City BKPSDM with the Palu City BKPSDM. (ari/yon)
