Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The moment entitled Hangout with Cleaning Staff held at the Merdeka Square in Malang City, Thursday (18/7/2024) was utilized by the Acting Mayor of Malang, Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM along with the Malang City Government staff to have a direct dialogue with the cleaning staff.
Many aspirations were conveyed to the number one person in the Malang City Government. Such as related to job status, honorarium, to the addition of supporting work infrastructure, starting from garbage carts, three-wheeled vehicles, and other cleaning equipment.
Responding to this, the Acting Mayor of Malang said that his party had inventoried and calculated the various needs submitted. "With the increasing population, it automatically increases the potential for piles of garbage, so this must be addressed properly," he said.
Seeing the current conditions, according to him, the cleaning facilities and infrastructure must be increased so that the cleaning staff can work optimally. "With the increase in workload, the honorarium or wages of these cleaning staff will be adjusted. At least equivalent to the City Minimum Wage (UMK)," explained Wahyu.
In addition, he said that later the cleaning staff with TPOK (Operational Support Workers) status could be promoted to P3K (Government Employees with Work Agreements). "They will have the same opportunity to take the test and become P3K," added Wahyu.
"Malang City has a 100 percent quota by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to appoint TPOK to P3K. We hope that later all TPOK can pass all when taking the test," he concluded. (say/yon)
