Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM inaugurated and took the oath of the Board of Directors of the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Tugu Tirta Drinking Water of Malang City in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall, Friday (19/7/2024).
The three directors who were appointed were Priyo Sudibyo, SE, S.Sos as President Director, Wahjo Darmawan, S.Sos as Director of Administration and Finance, and Ir. Mohammad Fauzan Indrawan, MM as Technical Director.
The existence of Perumda Air Minum Tugu Tirta Malang City as a drinking water provider for the community, said Acting Mayor Wahyu, has a strategic role in supporting the progress of Malang City. "This is because drinking water is an essential basic need for residents. So the provision of quality and sustainable drinking water is the main responsibility of Perumda Tugu Tirta," explained the number one person in the Malang City Government.
Wahyu said that Perumda Air Minum Tugu Tirta is still facing a number of challenges, especially in improving the quality of public services in providing drinking water for the community.
Therefore, he hopes that under this new leadership, they will be able to identify, analyze and resolve every problem wisely and effectively. Among others, related to increasing human resource capacity, optimizing work processes, transparency in management to responding to complaints and community needs.
In addition, the best service for customers must be improved, including maintained water quality, even distribution and fast and responsive service. "Innovation and technology must be utilized as well as possible in order to increase the coverage of drinking water services, so that all people can enjoy clean water easily and affordably," he added.
No less important, according to him, is the strengthening of cross-sectoral identity because solid cooperation with various parties, both local governments, the private sector and the community is very important to be carried out in order to create an ecosystem that supports sustainable drinking water management.
"As a profit-oriented institution, it is expected that Perumda Air Minum Tugu Tirta is able to support the Regional Original Income (PAD) so that the aggressive movement of regional companies becomes an important factor that must continue to be built," concluded Wahyu. (say/yon)
