Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – To enliven the 2024 National River Day which is commemorated every July 27, the Tourism Awareness Group Communication Forum (Forkom Pokdarwis) of the Malang City Thematic Village held the Brantas River Festival #3. One of the series of events in this festival is the Colorful Nyadran of the Brantas River which was held in the Jodipan Colorful Village of Malang City, Sunday (28/7/2024).
On the same day, similar events were also held, namely Arema Kampungku Bersih Kaliku in Kampung Biru Arema and Tridi Memetri Kali Brantas in Kampung Tridi Ksatrian. It is no wonder that the three series of events in thematic villages that are close together attract the attention of tourists, both domestic and foreign.
Various art and traditional performances were beautifully presented at the Colorful Nyadran Kali Brantas event, including the Jaranan Kali Brantas Parade, Jaranan Kali Brantas Flashmob, Nyadran Kali Brantas, Nyuluh Kali Brantas, and there was the Colorful UMKM Bazaar Kali Brantas.
Head of RW Kampung Warna Warni Soni Parin revealed that the pulse of tourism to Malang City, including Kampung Warna Warni, is now gradually recovering. He said that tourists who visit now are not only local residents, but also from outside the region and even quite a few foreign tourists come.
"The many events held in Kampung Warna Warni also help boost tourism visits. This must be maintained, because it has a big impact on the pulse of the people's economy," said Soni.
Meanwhile, one of the visitors, Bionita, admitted that she was happy to come to Kampung Warna Warni and be able to see a series of events that featured local arts and culture. "Not only parents who performed, but many children also participated and were enthusiastic about displaying traditional arts," she said enthusiastically.
In addition to visiting Kampung Warna Warni, Bionita admitted that she would also take a walk to the Kayutangan area which is now a heritage tourist attraction. "Tonight I'll go to Kayutangan, after that I'll continue to Bromo," she said. (cah/yon)
