Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – As a form of attention and concern, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM along with the ranks of the Malang City Government were present at the 65th Anniversary celebration of the Bhakti Luhur Foundation of Malang City, Thursday (1/8/2024).
The work of the Bhakti Luhur Foundation, which was established on August 1, 1959, deserves appreciation for its dedication in providing attention to the underprivileged and neglected disabled people. "Bhakti Luhur is extraordinary. A social foundation with 2.000 foster children who have well guided, fostered, directed and provided assistance to special children," explained Wahyu.
Wahyu emphasized that the various proposals and aspirations submitted by the Bhakti Luhur Foundation management on this occasion will be the concern of the Malang City Government which is committed to providing attention and care for people with disabilities. "We will try to facilitate and follow up on various proposals for the needs of children according to regulations, and this is where the Malang City Government is present," he said.
He added, from the proposals submitted, of course, it will be possible to see what the foundation needs. Related to the talents and potentials of the children fostered by the Bhakti Luhur Foundation which are extraordinary, Wahyu said that his party will facilitate it.
"We will facilitate the talents of these special children. I have directly asked the Regional Secretary to follow up so that the children of the Bhakti Luhur Foundation can be featured at the August 17 ceremony at Malang City Hall. So they can show their abilities in front of the guests," he explained.
In addition, the Acting Mayor of Malang mentioned the importance of companies in Malang City to create inclusive policies and support the disabled. As a follow-up, the Malang City Government will issue a circular to companies in Malang City to employ the disabled, including regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government to provide equal employment opportunities for the disabled.
