Acting Mayor of Malang Visits Pandanwangi Residents

Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Various accelerations of improvement and development continue to be carried out by the Malang City Government (Pemkot), one of which is thanks to the existence of a direct dialogue space for the community to convey their aspirations through the Ngobrol Mbois Ilakes (Ngombe) program. For the 14th time, the Ngombe program which was combined with the Senam Tahes Mbois Jumat (STMJ) was held in Pandanwangi Village, Blimbing District, Friday (2/8/2024).

Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat gave directions at the Ngombe and STMJ events in Pandanwangi Subdistrict

The program initiated by the Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat is consistently carried out as a form of openness of the Malang City Government to its citizens. Maintaining Malang City to continue to be conducive and resolving problems according to the needs of the community is a priority of the Acting Mayor of Malang to realize an increasingly classy Malang City.

"Some of the actions we take are based on the aspirations of residents through Ngombe, whether related to flooding, UMKM, education, the environment, and others. We accelerate because we consider this a priority, something urgent that is needed by residents. So that our actions can be directly felt by the community," explained Wahyu.

Not only listening, but Wahyu will also continue to monitor the extent to which each regional apparatus follows up on citizen proposals and complaints. Thus Wahyu can also convey accountability to the community.

"This time we have discussed a lot related to infrastructure, especially flooding. In relation to that, we have actually started the completion stage and don't forget that it must also be balanced with public awareness," he said.

Wahyu added, in handling this flood, it cannot be done in just one area, but must be done comprehensively. "The stages are clear, starting with normalization, after that there will be a diversion, and later it will also be budgeted if there is a narrowing of the drainage channel volume. We will adjust it in 2025," explained Wahyu.

After participating in gymnastics and having a dialogue with residents, Wahyu visited the residence of underprivileged residents in Pandanwangi Village, namely Suminem and the couple Siadi and Agustina. Agustina expressed her gratitude for the visit and attention given by the Malang City Government to her family.

In this activity, donations were also given to orphans, school uniform assistance for students in need, namely five students of SDN Pandanwangi 1 and five students of SMPN 24, as well as death insurance benefits for three heirs of Satlinmas members, each worth Rp42.000.000,00. (ari/yon)
