Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Still in the festive atmosphere of the 2024 National Children's Day (HAN) commemoration, Acting Mayor of Malang Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat MM together with the Head of PAUD Malang City Dra. Hj. Hanik Andriani Wahyu Hidayat attended the celebration of the 40th National Children's Day which was held in the yard of the Lowokwaru Village Office, Lowokwaru District, Saturday (3/8/2024).
On that occasion, Wahyu wanted to highlight the theme of the 40th HAN, namely 'Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia'. According to him, with the rampant negative issues, especially violence and bullying against children lately, this protected tagline is important, because it will greatly affect the future of Indonesian children.
"In accordance with the theme, 'Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia', I invite parents, let's look after, protect, guide and educate children so that they become qualified so that the ideals of Indonesia Emas 2045 can be achieved," he said.
Regarding child protection, Wahyu said that the Malang City Government (Pemkot) has consistently socialized child protection, both through the Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) for educational institutions, and through the P3AP2KB Social Service for socialization to residents outside educational institutions. It is hoped that with this intensive socialization, a Malang City that is suitable for children can be created so that the quality of children in Malang City is maintained in the future.
"I have asked the Education and Culture Office and the Social Service Office to be equally intensive in providing coaching, direction, guidance and assistance so that children remain protected. If we do not protect them from now on, in the future it will certainly affect the quality of children," he explained again.
The 40th HAN celebration was attended by 500 children from all PAUD, TK and Elementary Schools (SD) throughout Lowokwaru Village. In this event, the children displayed their creativity ranging from singing, modern dance, to children's operetta. On this occasion, symbolic assistance was also handed over by the Acting Mayor of Malang and the PAUD Mother of Malang City to representatives of elementary school children and also children with disabilities.
