Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The working visit agenda of Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan, ST, MM to regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government continues. This time the working visit and friendship packaged in the Limited Coordination and Evaluation Meeting Roadshow targeted four regional apparatuses, namely the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office (Disporapar), Transportation Office (Dishub), Environmental Office (DLH), and finally at the Malang City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) office, Thursday (22/8/2024).

From the four regional apparatuses visited, the Acting Mayor of Malang received strategic issues that became his attention at the beginning of his leadership. Met after the safari coordination meeting and evaluation at the Satpol PP office, Iwan conveyed the importance of strengthening the morale and image of Satpol PP in the eyes of the public. "Although often cursed, they must remain smiling, and enforce the rules properly based on applicable regional regulations," said Iwan.
Iwan also advised the Malang City Satpol PP to oversee the conducive implementation of the Pilkada, both in Malang City and the provincial level, because according to him it will have an impact on national stability. On this occasion, the Acting Mayor of Malang also told and gave advice related to the results of his visit to the Satpol PP Office.
Regarding his visit to the Disporapar Office, Iwan said there were several things that were of concern. Among others, regarding the preparation for the 2025th East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) XNUMX and the development of tourism based on thematic villages will continue to be supported and developed.
Meanwhile, while at the DLH, Iwan highlighted the importance of more effective and productive waste management. So waste is not just transported and dumped at the Final Disposal Site (TPA), but how it can be processed so that it has economic value. "Waste management is expected not only to be limited to maintaining cleanliness, but can have an impact on increasing local revenue (PAD)," he added.
Iwan also emphasized that waste management at vulnerable points must be carried out efficiently. "Waste can be collected before 08.00 WIB. This is done so that it does not disrupt community activities. Especially for waste in strategic locations such as markets and offices, I hope there will be further intervention so that temporary disposal sites (TPS) do not disrupt road users," said Iwan again.
Meanwhile, regarding his visit to Dishub, Iwan highlighted the target of implementing a virtual account-based parking system which he said would increase the PAD of Malang City. "Our target is 970 parking locations, and in the future all points are expected to be implemented. If this can be done, of course it will increase the PAD of Malang City," said Iwan.
In the end, the Acting Mayor of Malang advised the importance of good synergy and collaboration with all existing elements to be able to carry out the steps that have been well-planned to realize equitable development and can have a real impact on the community. (cah/yon)
