Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Malang City gave appreciation to taxpayers (WP) who paid Land and Building Tax (PBB) on time in the 'Tax Awareness Festival Phase I of 2024' event at the Malang Creative Center (MCC) Malang City, Friday night (23/8/2024). In this annual routine event, various prizes were drawn for lucky WP, including gas stoves, mountain bikes, laptops, washing machines, refrigerators, motorbikes, and the main prize in the form of a car.

Acting Mayor of Malang, Iwan Kurniawan ST, MM said that this event is one of the steps to continue to boost tax revenue and local revenue (PAD). In addition, it is also because the PBB revenue target for the third quarter has exceeded the target.
"From the target of Rp387,9 billion, up to August 23, Rp439,9 billion has been realized. This achievement deserves appreciation because the calculation for the 3rd quarter will end in September. Hopefully, this achievement can later be followed by other types of taxes, such as advertising, parking and restaurant taxes," he added.
Iwan further said, in this context it is not only about achieving the target but also showing that Malang City residents are tax conscious. "Well, if you are already aware of taxes, of course we in the regional government also want to maximize the use of taxes with the best development and service for the community," he explained.
At this moment, the Acting Mayor of Malang also invited all citizens as taxpayers to always pay their taxes on time and not be in arrears. Because, the progress of a region is determined by its tax revenue.
On this occasion, appreciation was also given to five villages and one sub-district with the highest PBB payments. In the future, the former Acting Regent of Lebak, Banten also asked all village heads and sub-district heads in Malang City to be able to follow the achievement. "Therefore, from now on we must work hard," he invited. (say/yon)
