Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang, Iwan Kurniawan, ST, MM accompanied by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT presented various awards to the winners of various competitions held by the Malang City Government (Pemkot) to enliven the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The award ceremony was held in a series of morning assembly in the yard of Malang City Hall, Monday (26/8/2024).

"It is extraordinary what Malang City has done to enliven the Indonesian Independence Day. A new experience for me. Many things will add to our enthusiasm, kinship, friendship, and even our commitment to provide the best service to the community," said Iwan in appreciation.
According to him, the series of commemorations of the Indonesian Independence Day held in Malang City were very impressive. Not only were there various lively competitions, but various events such as the Malang Flower Carnival and Pedalling for Freedom held yesterday could also create a multiplier effect. Through events on various scales, both regional, national and international, it was actually able to become a lever to mobilize MSMEs, increase local revenue (PAD), and also become an event to increase selling value through the potential and beauty of Malang City to the wider community.
Iwan also mentioned the involvement of stakeholders, starting from Forkopimda, agencies, to the community in enlivening the Indonesian Independence Day, proving that the synergy between the Malang City Government and various stakeholders is well established. "We cannot work well without good collaboration with various parties. All parties must work together to build a better Malang City in the future," he said.
Iwan said that he opened a discussion room with various parties to be able to formulate programs and solutions to advance Malang City. "Help me to be able to provide and support Malang City to become better even in a short period of time. Let's find a way out of the unresolved problems together, so that I can also give color to Malang City," he continued.
In addition, in the morning assembly activity, an award was also presented to Gadang Village, namely Second Place in the 2024 East Java Province Village and Village Competition. On this occasion, Grab Indonesia also handed over two electric bicycles and 25 water road barrier units to the Malang City Government as a form of corporate social responsibility (TSP). (ari/yon)
