Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) held a Coordination Meeting on the General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Ceiling Priorities (KUA-PPAS) for the 2025 fiscal year with the Acting Mayor of Malang and the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Malang City DPRD, Tuesday (10/9/2024).

Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan, ST, MM revealed that after conducting a limited evaluation (problem shopping) to obtain strategic issues and find a priority scale, the focus included the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections so that they can run well and conducively, as well as priorities in development.
"There are several things that we want to convey from several Limited Coordination and Evaluation Meeting Roadshows in several regional apparatuses, the results of discussions with all parties, finally we were able to map out 11 priority scales," explained Iwan.
Iwan explained that the first is related to the revitalization of Pasar Besar and other markets in Malang City. The second is related to the implementation of the 2025 East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) where Malang City also acts as the host. "We hope that Malang City can provide good color in the implementation of the 2025 East Java Porprov and can also achieve achievements. This must be truly prepared," explained Iwan.
Then the third explained by Iwan is the construction of a Temporary Shelter (TPS) for waste, the fourth is flood management in the Soekarno-Hatta area, the fifth is related to the parking lot in the Kayutangan Heritage Area. The sixth is the development of the Malang Creative Center (MCC) and micro businesses, the seventh is the rehabilitation of elementary schools, junior high schools, then integrated social assistance, the ninth is related to budget realization, the tenth is the optimization of PBB, and the last is about the revitalization of Alun-alun Merdeka.
Regarding TPS, in Malang City there are 57 TPS and intervention will continue to be carried out with five TPS to be used as pilot projects or examples. The Malang City Government will also prepare its treatment by preparing CCTV to encourage public awareness of having a behavior of not littering. The five TPS that will be intervened in 2024 will be built using contributions from corporate social responsibility funds considering that this year it was not accommodated through the APBD. (cah/yon)
