Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The realization of optimal public services is the commitment of the Malang City Government (Pemkot). In an effort to realize this, the Malang City Government continues to improve the quality of all elements in the administration of government, including its apparatus. One of the things that is done is by holding the Capacity Development activity of the District and Village Governments in Providing Services to the Community at the Atria Hotel, Malang City, Thursday (12/9/2024).
Public service is one of the important functions of government that has a broad meaning, because it involves fulfilling the diverse needs of the community. This was conveyed by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT when giving a speech and opening the activity.
"Increasing the capacity of government officials in sub-districts and villages is also very important, considering that sub-districts and villages are the front line in public services. At this level, various community problems first emerge and must be responded to quickly and appropriately," he explained.
In the activity attended by sub-district heads, village heads, and heads of community empowerment sections from all sub-districts and villages throughout Malang City, Erik said that the government system is like the performance of the human body. As a systematic mechanism, there must be interconnectedness between one and another. "No matter how great the brain is, if other body parts do not work well, then it will not be realized. All are important elements that support each other. How can everything synergize with each other," he said.
Erik advised the apparatus to uphold ethics, integrity, and professionalism in every action taken. In addition, Erik also encouraged synergy, communication and cross-sector coordination to be well established. It is hoped that the sub-district and village apparatuses will increase community empowerment and participation in supporting various programs and steps for the development of Malang City. As well as, increasing the use of information technology to provide more effective and efficient services and increase transparency in government. "Never get tired of continuing to learn and innovate in order to provide the best to the community," said Erik.
Regional Secretary Erik also appealed to the apparatus, especially those who are trusted as leaders to create a comfortable office environment. "Create a good circle, positive vibes, grow good and pleasant habits, so that during the working period, in addition to being able to serve the community well, we can also develop ourselves," he said.
