Reviewing Merdeka MPP, Ombudsman Secretary General Says Its Services Are Nearing Perfection

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Indonesian Ombudsman Dr. Suganda Pandapotan Pasaribu, AP, M.Si reviewed a number of services at the Merdeka Public Service Mall (MPP) in Malang City, Friday (20/9/2024). He said that in general all public services from agencies in the Merdeka MPP have been running well.

However, Suganda said that some improvements are still needed, such as the Hajj service at the Ministry of Religion tenant which still has to wait 30-35 years. "This service should be shortened so that the public is more enthusiastic," he said.

For the Education and Culture Office, Suganda said it should be able to accommodate the legalization of high school diplomas which he said could be communicated with the East Java Provincial Education and Culture Office. "We are sure that the Malang City Government can realize everything well," said Suganda.

"The service here is already good, approaching complete and more concise. This means that the bureaucratic chain that seemed less than good can be broken. One example is that we just reviewed the Dispendukcapil service. So in Dispendukcapil, the administrators do not meet, only with the service section," he continued.

Suganda gave an example, for example when taking care of something, the person concerned does not meet with the person taking care of it, because there are only customers there. "So there is no conflict of interest, and there will also be no corruption and so on, such as gratification and so on," he said.

Regarding the suggestions and input, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT said that his party received it well and will implement it. His party will communicate with the relevant parties, so that the services in the Alun-alun Merdeka area in the future will be more complete.

"He checked it directly earlier. We also gave a presentation. There were some definite things that were given, in the form of suggestions by him and we also responded to those suggestions. This means how the service is not only developed into ansih service. Because from there, his comments earlier, we are already approaching perfection, as he called it earlier," he explained.

On this occasion, the Secretary General of the Ombudsman also proposed that there be a special place driven by youth to strengthen nationalism and patriotism, as well as to display traditional arts, so that later a generation will be formed that has a strong mentality and morals. (say/yon)
