Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Strengthening efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) through the Public Relations Bureau (Humas) signed a commitment (MoU/Memorandum of Understanding) with the Malang City Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo) and UB Medcom, Friday (27/9/2024). The signing, which was carried out at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Building, Brawijaya University, was related to the dissemination and publication of anti-corruption content.

The signing of the commitment was carried out by the Head of the KPK Public Relations Bureau Yuyuk Andriati Iskak, Head of the Malang City Communication and Information Office Muhammad Nur Widianto and Director of UB Medcom Abdullah Siddik. Also present on this occasion were the Head of the Master of Communication Studies Program, FISIP UB, Maulina Pia Wulandari, S.Sos., M.Kom., Ph.D.
Head of Public Relations of KPK Yuyuk Andriati Iskak in her speech appreciated the extended family of UB who have long collaborated with KPK. "This time we have two agendas, the first is the signing of a joint commitment, and the second is a seminar entitled 'Voice Your Action Through Digital Media," she explained.
It was mentioned that this activity marked the beginning of a strategic collaboration of three parties in campaigning the importance of anti-corruption values through various media platforms. Yuyuk on this occasion also emphasized the importance of synergy between various parties, from government institutions, academics and the media to strengthen anti-corruption literacy.
"The public, in this case students, have a very important role in shaping public perception. We must ensure that anti-corruption messages can be delivered widely and effectively through social media, especially in this digital era," he said.
Digital media currently has extraordinary power. He said that his party sees digital media not just as a tool, but has the power to voice action, voice the truth and also fight for integrity. "The KPK is very aware of the importance of social media, as this media is for monitoring, reporting, and collaborating with all stakeholders in efforts to eradicate corruption," explained the woman who is familiarly called Yeye.
For this collaboration, the Head of Malang City Communication and Information Office Muhammad Nur Widianto also expressed his appreciation and support. He also emphasized the importance of synergy and collaboration to increase public awareness of the importance of eradicating corruption.
"The collaboration between Diskominfo, KPK and UB Medcom is our real step in ensuring that the anti-corruption message is delivered widely and effectively. This collaboration will utilize the potential of information and communication technology to provide wider education to the community," he explained.
On behalf of the Malang City Government, the Head of the Communication and Information Office expressed his gratitude for the trust given, especially to the Malang City Communication and Information Office for the collaboration that was built. "Of course, we have great hopes that this collaboration will not stop at a mere ceremonial session. We strongly believe and are convinced that literacy, education, are the keywords," he explained.
In addition, according to him, prevention is also key in eradicating corruption. "This prevention can be realized, strengthened, if literacy about the KPK, about corruption, collusion, nepotism, and everything related to corruption can be understood well.
