Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – As a form of concern and fulfillment of health rights for people with disabilities, the Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) for Disabilities 'Sukma Gayatri' was officially opened at the Klojen Village Office, Friday (27/9/2024). The establishment of this Posyandu for Disabilities is the result of collaboration between the Klojen Village and the Rampal Celaket Health Center and the Bhakti Luhur Foundation.
The name 'Sukma Gayatri' means a strong soul. The choice of this name has the hope that with the existence of this posyandu, it can bring hope to people with disabilities so that they are more independent and empowered.
Head of Klojen Village, Butet, SE after the inauguration said that with the existence of this integrated health post, he hopes that it can be utilized well and can provide benefits for people with disabilities, especially in terms of health. "We will try our best so that the existence of this integrated health post functions optimally and is very beneficial," he added.
Butet said that previously his party had formed a forum and cadres for disabilities, and in its implementation was assisted by health workers from the local health center and the Health Office. "With the existence of this integrated health post, we also hope that the disabled can stand tall and equal with the general public," he said.
The statement was agreed by the Head of Klojen District, Willstar Taripar Hatoguan. After symbolically inaugurating it, Willstar likened it to if normal citizens can play soccer, volleyball, badminton, then these disabled people should also be able to and are capable. "We must not discriminate against them, because behind their shortcomings there must be advantages that they have," he said.
"These disabled people are special people, and for their families they should be special too, and not the other way around. These disabled families certainly have extraordinary patience, and this is one of the special things," he explained.
On this occasion, Willstar also said that those who can understand and know what the needs of the disabled are are themselves, so we have to be close and ask them. "We can't guess or estimate what they want, so the presence of this integrated health post is a good start," Willstar explained.
Given the importance of the existence of this disability posyandu, Willstar admitted that he would encourage all sub-districts in the Klojen District area to have a disability posyandu. "Honestly, I will pay special attention to these disabled people. Because basically they are our brothers, who have the same rights and obligations wherever they are," he concluded. (say/yon)
