"Hopefully everything can be identified properly. Starting from what causes it, prevention and control strategies. Of course this requires cross-sectoral, cross-program roles so that they can contribute to Malang City," explained the Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) of the Malang City Health Office, Meifta Eti Winindar, SST, MM.

At the coordination meeting which was also attended by relevant regional apparatus elements, heads of health centers, professional health organizations, health education institutions, and community organizations, Meifta also emphasized the TB and HIV elimination programs, as well as the acceleration of immunization.

Meanwhile, the Assistant for Government and Public Welfare of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, Dr. Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH, M.Si, said that in responding to and handling various existing health problems, especially those that are a priority, the government must have a strategy to suppress cases or even break the chain of the disease.

Health development must also be carried out by all components to increase awareness, willingness, and ability to live healthily as an investment in the development of quality human resources that are socially and economically productive. "The level of health is one indicator of the success of a region's development. To realize this, a well-established, targeted, and sustainable strategy is needed," said Ida.

Ida further mentioned one of the strategies implemented by the government through the Ministry of Home Affairs is instructing the regional government to form a TB Acceleration Team and Increase Immunization Coverage. "Considering that TB transmission cases are still high and immunization coverage has not reached the target, the role of the regional government is needed. Malang City has also issued a Mayor's Decree regarding these two matters, with the involvement of government and non-government elements," he explained.

This coordination meeting activity was combined with the Kick Off of Primary Service Integration (ILP) of Malang City. This ILP is intended to integrate health services, namely health centers, assistant health centers (pustu), and integrated health posts (posyandu) to be able to provide services to the community in all life cycles.

Ida said, to improve health services for the community, the government also updated services by integrating basic health services for all age groups through Primary Service Integration (ILP). Ida said there are three main focuses of ILP, namely the implementation of the life cycle as the focus of integration, bringing health services closer through networks to the sub-district level, including in health promotion through disease screening.

"With ILP, the work of the health center will also be stronger with active monitoring of local areas (PWS) in the sub-district by health workers and cadres," concluded Ida. (ari/yon)
