Malang City Government Invites Business Actors to Collaborate in Building the City

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – As an effort to optimize the development and development of the city's potential, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) invites business actors to collaborate in building the city. This was conveyed by the Assistant for Economy and Development of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, Ir. Diah Ayu Kusuma Dewi, MT during an audience with business actors in the Malang City Hall Meeting Room, Thursday (4/10/2024).

Audience in the Malang City Hall Courtroom

In the audience discussing the Handling of Priority Programs of the Acting Mayor of Malang, Diah mentioned that there are 12 priority government programs that have been determined by the Acting Mayor of Malang, Iwan Kurniawan ST, MM. Six of them are priority programs that require collaboration with business actors through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

The priority programs include school rehabilitation (elementary and junior high schools), construction of TPS, integrated social assistance (BST), MSMEs moving up a class, parking lots in the Kayutangan area, and the implementation of the 2025 East Java Porprov. "Therefore, the meeting held today is the initial step taken to introduce business actors related to the six priority programs," he explained.

Diah added, through this initial introduction, her party hopes that there will be similarities between the obligations (TSP) carried out by business actors with the Malang City Government program which requires collaboration with business actors through the TSP Forum. This is because so far there has often been a mismatch between the government's priority programs and the TSP activities carried out by business actors. "Well, through this audience, it is hoped that there can be a match between government programs that require CSR assistance from companies with the CSR steps that will be taken by business actors," she added.

So far, the collaboration between the Malang City Government and business actors through the TSP Forum in building the city has been well established. There are several facilities and programs produced through this collaboration, including Merbabu Park, Kunang-kunang Park, and lights along Jalan Ijen Boulevard.

"In the past, we may not have seen what priority programs need to be intervened by TSP activities. But this time, the Acting Mayor of Malang has instructed to lay the foundation, let's first see what basic services are a priority for us to do TSP," he added.

Regarding the collaboration carried out, Diah said there are three alternative ways that can be chosen for the participation of business actors/companies through the TSP program. The first is to directly contribute in full through the TSP Forum. Second, it is done directly by business actors, meaning that business actors provide direct assistance to run a program. The last is through collaboration between several business actors to contribute through the TSP Forum.

Diah also hopes that in the future, audiences like this will continue to be held consistently at the beginning of the year, where the Malang City Government will offer what programs will be worked on through collaboration with the TSP Forum.

"We offer it at the beginning through Musrenbang TSP. So we offer our program, which is not taken by new business actors, we include it in the APBD. So that reduces funding from the APBD," he concluded. (iu/yon)
