Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan, ST, MM attended the Farewell Gathering Night for the Malang City Police Chief at the Grand Mercure Malang Mirama Hotel, Tuesday night (8/10/2024). The farewell event, which was also attended by the Forkopimda ranks, communities, religious leaders, community leaders, and mass media companies, carried the theme 'Togetherness Carving Stories, Welcoming Hopes, Achieving Goals'.
Acting Mayor of Malang said that the event, which was packaged in the form of a gathering, was a reflection of the strong cross-sectoral synergy that was built between the Malang City Police, the Malang City Government and the Malang City Forkopimda in order to realize the progress of the beloved city.
"Organizational dynamics in an institution is something natural. Every development that occurs will always be responded to with a policy that is specifically designed to answer the challenges of future problems. So the change of leadership to continue the leadership baton needs to be supported together," added Iwan.
On behalf of the Malang City Government, the Acting Mayor of Malang expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the dedication of Senior Commissioner Pol. Budi Hermanto who has made the Malang City Police Department better and more professional. Acting Mayor Iwan also expressed his highest appreciation for the synergy and collaboration that has been established so far, and prayed that he would be entrusted with the new duties and position as Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the East Java Regional Police.
"Hopefully Kombes Pol. Budi Hermanto will be more successful and continue to provide the best work. His devotion, dedication, and hard work while serving in Malang City have brought stability, security and order, providing a sense of security to the community," he said.
On this occasion, Acting Mayor Iwan also welcomed the new Malang City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Pol. Nanang Haryono. He hopes that his presence in Bumi Arema can bring new spirit and innovation in efforts to maintain public security and peace.
"Considering that Malang City is a diverse and dynamic city, it has its own challenges in the field of security and order. However, we are confident that with his experience and leadership, the synergy that has been built very well will continue and even become stronger," he said.
Iwan further said that the ranks of the Malang City Government are always ready to work together and support the efforts of the Malang City Police in maintaining the security and comfort of the community. "In the future, with this spirit of togetherness, I hope we can continue to work together to build Malang City to be even better, both in terms of security, comfort, and community welfare," he concluded.
