Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Malang City is rolling out the 'Bapenda Sobo RW' program to meet the target of Land and Building Tax (PBB) realization of Rp70 billion. Through this outreach program, the current PBB target can be realized by Rp63 billion or reaching 90 percent.
Head of the Potential Development Sub-Division of Bapenda Malang City, Kalyana said that the enthusiasm of residents to pay their taxes is very high. In addition to officers who come directly to the community in this outreach program, the steps to pursue the target of tax realization are also supported by the tax fine elimination program.
Specifically, from September to November 2024, Bapenda will provide relief in the form of tax fines for residents who have not paid from 1990 to 2023. This program has proven effective because currently many residents are paying, and their PBB arrears are from 5 to 25 years.
"If the enthusiasm of the residents is good, on average they will eventually pay, many will pay. The majority of residents pay taxes because of the fine elimination program. Previously, if there were fines, they would still postpone it, and if you calculate it, the fines are quite a lot," explained Kalyana, Saturday (12/10/2024)
"Bapenda Sobo RW will continue to open services in 57 sub-districts in Malang City. The Bapenda Sobo Sub-district and Housing Program will also support the achievement of this PBB target," concluded Kalyana. (say/yon)
