Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan ST, MM accompanied by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT along with the Malang City Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) attended the TPID National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) held online by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) in the Ngalam Command Center (NCC) Room, Malang City Hall, Monday (14/10/2024).
Director General of Regional Development (Dirjen Bangda) Ir. Restuardy Daud, M.Sc who led the national coordination meeting this time stated that the national inflation rate, both year-on-year and year to date, is still within the target set by TPID in 2024, which is 2,5% plus minus one.
"This generally describes a relatively controlled condition because it reflects the development of inflation from January to October 2024 and will be our cumulative figure at the end of the year," he explained.
Restuardy said, in the development of inflation throughout October, both in the first and second weeks, the commodities contributing to the inflation figures still tended to be the same, namely shallots, cooking oil, chicken eggs, cayenne pepper and garlic.
In addition, from data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), it was said that in general the aggregate that forms the inflation figures for the core inflation components and those regulated by the government compared to volatile goods at the beginning of the year was dominated by the balance of food inflation or volatile prices.
"We see from January it continued to rise until March, then April 2024 it fell and then was relatively stable until September. So this is one of the positive points that has been done by the regional government (pemda)," he concluded. (iu/yon)
