Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Carrying the concept of being able to enjoy Malang meatballs as easily as instant noodles, anywhere and anytime, Dwi Rizky Setiawan has successfully promoted his product labeled 'Bakso Sritikah'. This ready-to-eat Malang meatball product from Jl. Pelabuhan Kamal, Bakalankrajan Village, Sukun District is now widely known, and has even penetrated the international market.

Dwi said that his business was pioneered in 2017. It started when he ate meatballs outside Malang, but Dwi was not satisfied with the taste. "Maybe because I was used to the taste of Malang meatballs. While we know ourselves, people from Malang will definitely say that Malang meatballs are the most delicious. Finally, the idea came to make Malang meatballs that can be enjoyed anywhere and anytime," explained Dwi, Monday (21/10/2024).
Departing from that experience, finally frozen meatballs were made, inspired when they saw packaged meatballs. After going through a series of trials, finally the best concoction of Sritikah frozen meatballs was created.
"In the packaging of Bakso Sritikah, there are noodles, smooth meatballs, chocolate tofu, siomai, complementary spices, broth, chili sauce, and onions. Enjoying it is also easy, maybe like making instant noodles, just add water and wait five to seven minutes, delicious Malang meatballs can be enjoyed," he explained while promoting.
Dwi further revealed that his products have now penetrated various regions in Indonesia, and have now even been exported to Hong Kong, which always requests shipments every week. In Hong Kong, he now has 30 agents. "Actually, the peak was during the Covid-19 pandemic, when people couldn't go anywhere and ended up shopping online. Since then, orders for Bakso Sritikah to various regions in Indonesia have been flowing, and orders from Hong Kong can reach 12.000 pieces per week," explained Dwi.
For frozen products, Bakso Sritikah mentioned Dwi can last one day at room temperature, while if stored in foam, bakso can last for three days, and if stored in the freezer can last up to one year. (cah/yon)
