Upholding Culture, Rampal Celaket Holds Suguh Patirtan Ritual

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Residents of Rampal Celaket Village, Klojen District mingled in the 'Suguh Patirtan' ritual, Saturday (26/10/2024). This cultural ritual tradition is as a cultural preservation or preservation of culture so that it remains sustainable throughout time.

Starting with the inauguration of the Mbah Tugu hermitage site, participants paraded five large tumpeng to the water source area or patirtan. This procession also attracted the attention of residents whose areas were passed. The enthusiasm of the residents was visible and became witnesses to this cultural ritual.

The chief executive who is also a cultural activist, Gagah Soeryo Pamoekti, said that this activity was also a form of gratitude from residents to God Almighty for the water source which is one of the basic necessities in life which has been well maintained until now.

"The existence of clean water sources in this village for the past few years has been utilized by residents to meet their daily needs. Events like this will be held routinely in the future as well as a form of gratitude for the blessings of health and fortune from the Creator," he added.

Gagah further expressed his gratitude for the grace of Allah SWT because he is still blessed with blessings, one of which is water which is the main key to the life of all creatures in the universe.

Not only will it be guarded and preserved, Gagah explained that the existence of this water source is targeted to attract tourists, so that residents and community leaders as well as cultural figures and cultural activists agree to beautify the water source area.

For example, by utilizing river flows for water tourism, namely boats, planting various fruits and vegetables in springs, and holding a number of cultural performances.

"We will try our initial breakthrough in the next month. For now, we will first spread classy events, events that can attract tourists to come to this bathing place and Rampal Celaket village in particular," concluded Gagah. (say/yon)
