Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Plenary Meeting of the Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) with the agenda of Delivering the General Views of the Factions on the Draft General Policy (KUA) - Changes to Priorities and Temporary Budget Ceilings (PPAS) of the 2025 Malang City APBD was held in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Malang City DPRD, Monday (28/10/2024).

In this plenary meeting, the factions highlighted several sectors, including increasing Regional Original Income (PAD), community economy, handling unemployment figures, handling floods and traffic jams, and no less important, related to the readiness of Malang City to host the East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) in 2025.
Responding to this, Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawa, ST, MM said that his party welcomed and paid attention to the matters conveyed by the council. He revealed that his party had several priority programs that were produced through spending on issues to the community, regional apparatus and also figures. "There are at least 11 priority programs, most of which are the same as those expected by the Malang City DPRD," he added.
"There are several things that we need to follow up on, including questions related to the decline in revenue (PAD) and later we will increase it again in 2025. That is a concern for us, and in the next plenary session we will convey the answers from the submissions of the factions," said Acting Mayor Iwan.
Iwan further explained that from the various things conveyed, most of them were in line and hopefully what the Malang City Government planned in 2025 for a better Malang City. He emphasized that the implementation of programs that provide services to the community is a priority. His party will increase the General Allocation Fund (DAU), no longer the size related to the number of residents, but how the program has a direct impact on community services.
"We have designed the work program that we have planned well, and how the program has a direct impact on the community. Especially related to several things that are of concern to the factions in the Malang City DPRD at this time," concluded Iwan. (say/yon)
