Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – As an effort to raise legal awareness in the community to create a law-abiding and just environment in Malang City, the Legal Section of the Malang City Regional Secretariat (Setda) held a Legal Awareness Family Development and Assessment (Kadarkum) activity at the Pelangi Hotel, Malang City, Wednesday (30/10/2024).
Expert Staff for Law, Government and Politics of the Malang City Secretariat, Tabrani, was present to open the event and also became a resource person representing the Acting Mayor of Malang. Tabrani said that this activity is a very important initiative in fostering legal awareness in the community. "Through the formation and development of kadarkum, Malang City seeks to build a strong foundation from the family level," he said.
Tabrani explained that kadarkum is not only a forum to increase legal knowledge for the community, but also an active agent of change in overseeing law enforcement in the immediate environment.
Thus, kadarkum not only contributes to the creation of a law-abiding society, but also plays an active role in realizing dignified and just city development.
"Therefore, this kadarkum development activity is important to be implemented as a strategic step in encouraging the active role and legal awareness of various elements of society in order to create a strong and sustainable legal culture in Malang City," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Legal Section of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, Suparno, said that this activity was a follow-up to the Malang City level kadarkum assessment which was previously carried out in 2023. From this assessment, two of the best sub-districts were selected each representing the five districts in Malang City.
"And from the assessment conducted today, the three best sub-districts were selected from ten participants, namely Madyopuro Sub-district as the first winner, Gadang Sub-district as the second winner, and Mojolangu Sub-district as the third winner," he said.
With these results, Madyopuro Village, Kedungkandang District will represent Malang City in the East Java Provincial Level Kadarkum Competition which will be held in 2025. (iu/yon)
