Acting Governor of East Java Soft Launching of the Grand Pavilion of RSSA Malang

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Governor of East Java Adhy Karyono Director of the dr. Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital (RSSA) Malang dr. Moch. Bachtiar Budianto conducted a soft launch of the RSSA Malang Grand Pavilion Building, Thursday (31/10/2024). The Acting Governor of East Java said this was a form of commitment from the East Java Provincial Government to improve the services of regional general hospitals to international standards.

"Today I am grateful and appreciate the new icon of RSSA which has a grand pavilion as a special excellent service that can be enjoyed by all segments of society around the Malang Raya area," said the Acting Governor of East Java.

Adhy said, with excellent service, it will be able to attract more patients to seek treatment in East Java without having to go abroad. "The grand pavilion must be as great as a five-star hotel, so people in Malang don't have to go far if they want to seek treatment," he explained.

He said, excellent service must begin with paying attention to human resources (HR). Then other officers who support medical personnel on the frontline must have more attractive performance as if providing excellent service.

"The existing human resources must be able to truly carry the excellent RSSA identity. Other officers and other supporters in the RSSA area must provide a positive image and elevate the image of the hospital that reflects international quality," he said.

He further stated that as a type A main teaching hospital, RSSA is one of the main referral hospitals besides Dr. Soetomo Regional Hospital in Surabaya and can serve the people of southern and eastern East Java.

"The grand launching of the Grand Pavilion is a real effort to improve health service facilities so that it can improve the health of the community, as well as contribute to the improvement of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program," he explained again.

Meanwhile, Director of RSSA Malang dr. Moch. Bachtiar Budianto said the Grand Pavilion RSSA Malang building has seven floors. The first floor is for outpatients accompanied by supporting facilities such as radiology rooms, laboratories, finance, pharmacy tenants and so on.
"The floors above are inpatient rooms, while currently the ones being used are the second, third and fourth floors, the fifth floor is the nurses' room and the sixth floor is for human resource development, and the seventh floor is a special operating room and ICU," explained Bachtiar.

For the capacity in the Grand Pavilion, there are 119 beds, all of which are VIP rooms. "For the construction of the Grand Pavilion, it is currently almost 100 percent complete, only the fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure related to human resources is targeted to be completed this year," explained Bachtiar.

He revealed that RSSA currently has 993 beds with details of 70 for VIP class, 213 for class I, 267 for class II, and 383 beds for class III. Bachtiar also expressed his optimism that the presence of this grand pavilion will be able to raise the image of the hospital in providing quality services, increasing public satisfaction with one stop service.
