Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – To ensure the stability of service distribution to all customer areas is always safe, the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Tugu Tirta Drinking Water Company of Malang City continues to accelerate the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) program.
Based on the presentation results of the President Director of Perumda Tugu Tirta to the Public Housing, Residential Areas and Public Works Service of East Java Province on August 23, 2024, the SPAM Development Plan through the facilitation of the 2024 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget Amendment (PAPBD) of the Public Housing, Residential Areas and Public Works Service of East Java Province for SPAM Sumber Merjosari and Sumber Sareh has been approved with an assistance value of IDR 25.375.978.960.
"We are grateful that the application was approved. This also proves that if coordination and planning are carried out well, the allocation is clear and synergy is well established, then assistance from the center and province can be approved," explained the President Director of Perumda Tugu Tirta, Priyo Sudibyo, Tuesday (5/11/2024).
Currently, Perumda Tugu Tirta is trying to complete the construction of SPAM Sumber Sareh with a maximum discharge of 100 lps. The cost requirement is Rp10.212.519.960,-, which includes the procurement of drill pumps and repair of brom capturing.
As for the development of SPAM in Sumber Merjosari, the cost requirement reaches IDR 15.163.459.000, - with the details being used for repairing bromine capturing, building tower tanks, chlorination rooms and access roads.
The plan is, from Sumber Merjosari with the development later the capacity will potentially increase to 200 lps. "This means if all is realized, we can have an additional maximum debit of up to 300 lps," said Priyo.
Previously, Perumda Tugu Tirta had submitted assistance worth Rp29.172.387.960,- for three SPAMs. In addition to Sumber Merjosari and Sumber Sareh, also for the development of SPAM Sawojajar. However, only two SPAM points were approved. "We are trying to auction it soon, no later than early 2025, so that the work can begin in the middle of the year," he explained further.
For the development of SPAM Sawojajar so that service stability is maintained, Perumda Tugu Tirta plans to submit a transfer of assistance to other points. Among them are for the construction of a pipe distribution network to the Cemorokandang area and allocations for slums in Malang City.
If various aspects are adequate, Perumda Tugu Tirta plans to build a network from Buring Atas to the Cemorokandang area. For a 9,6 km long pipe network, the estimated cost required is around Rp18 billion. While the allocation to add a network to slums requires a budget of around Rp19 billion.
Meanwhile, the follow-up to the replacement of the Sumberpitu network pipes continues to show bright spots. Previously, the PUPR Ministry through the Brantas River Basin Center (BBWS) had replaced 2,13 km of pipes at eight points along the Pulungdowo-Kidal, Tumpang route, on August 7-10 and September 10-11, 2024. The pipe replacement process (tapping) was almost without obstacles and was considered a success. "So we will propose another 1,2 km addition from the last Kidal point. The direction is towards the Upper Buring Reservoir," explained Priyo accompanied by the Technical Director, M. Fauzan Indrawan.
The pipe replacement effort along the route aims to improve water services to customers in the long term, the benefits of which can be felt for the next 20 to 30 years. (say/yon)
