Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Until now, there are at least 40 schools in Malang City that have experienced minor damage. The repair of these schools is planned to be carried out in 2025. The funding comes from the Malang City Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), and the allocation is already in the Draft General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Ceiling Priority (KUA-PPAS) of the 2025 APBD.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), Suwarjana when met on Wednesday (6/11/2024). The draft KUA-PPAS APBD 2025 is still awaiting approval from the Malang City DPRD.
Meanwhile, for the repair of schools with severe damage category, Suwarjana said there are 11 schools, which are planned to be repaired in 2024 through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. The repair process will begin in December.
"Until now, the third party that has agreed to release its CSR funds has been there, and allocated for six of the 11 severely damaged schools. The remaining five schools, hopefully, will soon follow and there will be other CSR assistance," explained Suwarjana.
To repair the 11 schools is estimated to require a budget of around Rp5,8 billion. However, this certainly also looks at the damage in each school. "Such as broken roofs and walls, building structures, porous frames, and others," he explained.
Some schools that will be repaired in 2024 include SDN Ketawanggede, SMPN 25 and SDN Tanjungrejo 3. "We are trying to make repairs as soon as possible, in accordance with existing regulations and priorities," he concluded. (say/yon)
