Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) in collaboration with the Directorate General (Dirjen) of Regional Financial Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia held the 2024 Regional Revenue Coordination Meeting at the Mercure Malang Mirama Hotel, Thursday (7/11/2024).

This coordination meeting is in the context of the effective implementation of the provisions of Article 104 and Article 190 of Law Number 1 of 2022 concerning Financial Relations Between the Central Government and Regional Governments.
Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, said that this activity was a form of good synergy between the central government and regional governments in an effort to realize efforts to achieve the target of regional original income (PAD).
"On behalf of the Malang City Government, we would like to express our gratitude for the collaboration presented by the Director General of Regional Financial Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Hopefully, the implementation of this coordination meeting can run smoothly accompanied by the atmosphere of Malang City which provides comfort and inspiration so that it can produce appropriate and applicable policies to answer various challenges in the field of regional income," said Erik.
Erik said that increasing regional revenue is one of the major challenges faced in efforts to maintain sustainable fiscal policies and create stimulus to move the wheels of the economy in a region.
"Therefore, starting from program planning, budgeting, implementation (innovation, efforts, constraints/obstacles) to supervision and evaluation must be managed well so that regional original income can be obtained optimally," he said.
Erik emphasized that the Malang City Government continues to implement PAD optimization strategies to meet the target. One of the efforts to obtain PAD is through the Gebyar sadar pajak program which aims to increase public awareness regarding tax obligations and education regarding the tax system. The Gebyar sadar pajak innovation is also a reward or appreciation program from us to the public for their compliance in paying taxes, especially PBJT for hotel services, PBJT for food and/or beverages, and PBB.
"Then there is the village visit which is a proactive service in order to facilitate taxpayers to pay PBB and submit administrative services such as submitting tax object mutations, name changes, splitting, correcting PBB SPPT, registering new PBB objects, and requesting the removal of PBB administrative sanctions," explained Erik.
He further said that the e-Parking innovation is a digital or electronic parking payment service. An example of the use of e-Parking is at the Olympic gGarden (MOG) Mall and the optimization of BMP utilization. Therefore, Erik said that this activity is a strategic momentum.
At the 2024 Regional Revenue National Coordination Meeting attended by 106 regions with 306 participants, Erik hopes that all regions present can share knowledge, experience and the best strategies in optimizing regional revenue which will certainly provide meaning to support the performance of regional governments in providing the best services for the community that has been determined.
