Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Together with the ranks of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan, ST, MM reviewed the readiness and availability of logistics for the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) at the Malang City General Election Commission (KPU) Warehouse, Jl. Tenaga Baru III Number 7, Purwantoro Village, Blimbing District, Malang City, Sunday (10/11/2024). On this occasion, not only the ballots and voting booths were confirmed to be ready, but also how the security and delivery of these voting logistics will be carried out until they reach the Polling Stations (TPS).

Acting Mayor of Malang revealed that so far the number of logistics received by the KPU and various preparations have been maximized, including those related to the process of folding ballots involving the community. "So that the implementation of voting for regional head candidates which will be held on November 27 can run well," he hoped.
On this occasion, the Acting Mayor of Malang also invited all levels of society to help maintain the conduciveness and make the implementation of the regional elections a success, by coming to the Polling Stations (TPS) to use their voting rights to elect good leaders. "Thus, this five-yearly democratic party will run safely and smoothly, and the level of community participation is high," he explained.
"This monitoring is very important, and we need to check everything, we need to see it, because this is a very important stage. We need to remember that elections are not just about voting, not just about campaigning, but how the process of folding the ballots, checking the ballots, and distributing the ballots, then the implementation of voting is a very important part. We do our best to anticipate unwanted things," explained Iwan.
On the same occasion, the Chairman of the Malang City KPU, Muhammad Toyib appreciated the steps taken by the Malang City Government that had given attention. Likewise, the cooperation so far has been running well, so that various stages of the regional elections have run well, starting from the implementation of the regional head candidate debate and various other forms of support.
Regarding the logistics of the regional elections, Toyib said that of the 1.400 damaged ballots, his party has now submitted a return and is waiting for a replacement. In addition, his party is also waiting for the arrival of the lack of plano paper which is expected to arrive in the next day or two.
"We have submitted the damaged logistics and now we are just taking the logistics that are lacking and damaged. If there were six damaged cubicles yesterday, but we have received replacements. So for every damage from our sorting results, we will definitely ask for a replacement with the amount needed," he concluded. (say/yon)
