One of them is Hany Sahara, who makes and rents wedding dresses on Jl. Kemirahan II Number 3, Blimbing District. When met on Tuesday (12/11/2024), she admitted that in the past week, wedding dresses and various accessories have also been ordered from outside Malang. Some are from Surabaya, Pasuruan, Probolinggo, Lumajang and Blitar. These orders are usually made 2-3 months before the bride and groom's wedding day.

Each wedding dress package, said the woman in the hijab, is rented starting from Rp600 thousand to Rp1 million. Currently, Hany admitted that her orders have increased by around 90 percent compared to June to August 2024.

To make a wedding dress, Hany admitted to using various quality materials and it took about a month, so the wedding dress she made was different from the usual ones.

"Here I have a special characteristic in terms of our models, we are definitely up to date and self-designed, so there is definitely nothing that matches it from outside. Then for the materials we use, like the sequins, quality sequins so they don't fade," explained Hany.

What Hany did and the efforts she made received appreciation from the Head of the Cooperatives, Industry and Trade Service (Diskopindag) of Malang City, Eko Sri Yuliadi. According to him, the wedding dress business will never die because it is always needed.

"Hany is one of the wedding dress entrepreneurs who has ever attended the training we held. She is indeed persistent and can maximize opportunities, where and when to act. That is very good and can be an example for other business actors," explained Eko. (say/yn)
