Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) together with the Malang City Government (Pemkot) finally agreed on the General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Ceiling Priorities (KUA-PPAS) for the Malang City APBD for the 2025 Fiscal Year.
This was marked by the signing of a decision and memorandum of understanding between the Malang City DRPD and the Malang City Government during a Plenary Meeting in the Plenary Room of the Malang City DPRD, Friday (15/11/2024).
Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan, met after the plenary meeting, expressed his gratitude because the discussion process for the 2025 KUA-PPAS Draft had been completed and ratified. He said that the final views of several factions were certainly a separate note and concern.
Iwan said that in the discussion, his party no longer prepared plans according to the needs of regional apparatus, but based on revenue targets.
"This is not a decrease in Regional Original Income, but a realistic target adjustment to avoid a budget deficit," he explained.
He said that this adjustment is also in line with the direction of the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), so that regional budgets are prepared based on real revenue projections.
"This step makes our regional revenue and spending budget healthier, because it reflects the trend of revenue achievement in the last five years," he concluded. (cah/yn)
