This monitoring was carried out to ensure that the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections, namely the election of governor and deputy governor, as well as mayor and deputy mayor in Malang City, took place safely and conducively. In addition, it is also to ensure that all stages of the Regional Election run according to procedure.

"From the points that we monitored earlier, thank God everything went smoothly and all the provisions that guarantee voters to cast their votes directly, generally, freely, secretly, honestly, and fairly (luber and jurdil) were truly accommodated," explained Erik.

The polling stations visited included special polling stations (35-39) at Class I Malang Penitentiary, Blimbing District, polling stations 15 at the JI. Sunan Muria I Social Service Elderly Home, Lowokwaru District, polling stations 9 at SDK Santa Maria II, Panderman Street, Klojen District, polling stations 29 at Balai RW 09, Green Living Housing Complex, Satsui Tubun Street, Sukun District, and polling stations 19 at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadin, Kyai Parseh Jaya Street, Kedungkandang District.

"The point is we hope that all citizens can be enthusiastic in exercising their right to vote. This means that here the citizens of Malang City have high enthusiasm to play an active role in the democratic party. We hope once again, in the remaining time, the level of participation of Malang City citizens will be as high as possible," he explained.

Therefore, Regional Secretary Erik instructed all regional stakeholders, both at the sub-district, village, RW and RT levels to continue to remind their citizens to use their voting rights optimally. Erik also expressed his appreciation to the residents who were present to exercise their voting rights.

"There were no significant findings related to violations. In fact, we really appreciate it, because everything went smoothly, even in some TPS that we saw earlier there were unique things built by the residents. The creativity of these residents reflects the togetherness of their respective regions. So the residents of Malang City are extraordinary. So we are waiting once again in the remaining time, the level of participant activity will be higher, then later we will follow the counting and recapitulation process together," he concluded.
