Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The success of Malang City's development cannot be separated from the role of many parties. Thanks to the synergy and collaboration of various elements, the quality of human resources (HR) is now increasing and the face of the city continues to improve. The Malang City Government (Pemkot) is also trying to strengthen cooperation with the business world, as a form of hexahelix collaboration through a forum entitled 'Ngalam Berkolaborasi', Thursday (28/11/2024).
Ngalam Berkolaborasi becomes a forum to grow the spirit and awareness to advance Malang City in all sectors through corporate social responsibility (TSP) programs. Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan emphasized that development will be successful if there is support from various parties, one of which is business actors.
"I am sure that the Malang City Government cannot carry out development optimally without collaboration with business actors who make a living in Malang City, and have a commitment to supporting the development of Malang City," said Iwan.
In the forum attended by hundreds of business actors in Malang City and its surroundings, Iwan also conveyed 11 priority programs that he had planned based on the results of shopping problems and discussions with all regional apparatuses and other strategic partners. The priority programs are the revitalization of the Malang Big Market, construction of TPS, handling of flooding in the Soekarno-Hatta area, procurement of Kayutangan Heritage parking lots, development of MCC and UMKM, rehabilitation of elementary and junior high school buildings, provision of integrated social assistance, acceleration of budget realization, optimization of land and building tax (PBB), and revitalization of Alun-Alun Merdeka. These 11 priority programs are expected to be solutions to several problems and needs of the Malang City community.
Furthermore, the Acting Mayor of Malang said that the social responsibility given by the company should be in line with the direction of regional development. "TSP must be identical and collaborate in order to support the priority programs of Malang City. To run the priority programs, we have mapped which programs are funded by the APBN, the provincial APBD, the Malang City APBD, and also including which programs are funded by the social responsibility of business actors," he continued.
He mentioned that several priority programs projected to be supported by funding sourced from TSP are the implementation of the 2025 East Java Porprov, construction of TPS, empowerment of MSMEs through optimization of MCC, rehabilitation of elementary and junior high schools, and provision of integrated social assistance.
"Thank you. Unexpectedly, the CSR funds collected tonight reached around Rp400 million, and there are commitments that have not been recorded so that it could be more than that. This is an extraordinary learning experience to be able to improve collaboration between the government and the private sector," he said optimistically.
Iwan also invited all parties, especially business actors to contribute to development that leads to improving community welfare. "I invite business actors to participate in building Malang City. The development carried out by the Malang City Government aims to improve public services and welfare. Let's collaborate with the Malang City Government for a better development of Malang City," he concluded. (ari/yn)
