Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Various programs have been initiated by the government in order to improve human resources (HR). One of the programs currently being implemented is the Quality Family Village (KB). In line with this national program, the Malang City Social Service, Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (Dinsos P3AP2KB) is working to make 57 sub-districts in Malang City into KB Villages. Therefore, Dinsos P3AP2KB held a strengthening of the KB Village by inviting elements of the sub-district and related regional apparatuses, Monday (2/12/2024).
Head of Population and Family Disaster Control Division of Dinsos P3AP2KB Malang City, Sri Umiasih said that Kampung KB emphasizes strengthening family and community institutions through program interventions and activities with a human life cycle approach. "Kampung KB was formed due to cross-sector collaboration. There is integration and convergence in the implementation of empowerment and strengthening of family institutions in all its dimensions to improve the quality of human resources, families and communities," she explained when opening the event held at the Dinsos P3AP2KB Office Hall.
The establishment of the KB Village is expected to contribute to improving community welfare. More specifically, the KB Village can play a role in overcoming stunting, reducing maternal mortality, birth and infant mortality, increasing family planning participation and reducing poverty rates.
Umi said that currently there are sub-districts that have actively implemented this program, including the Kotalama and Tlogowaru KB Villages (Kedungkandang District), Bunulrejo (Blimbing District), Bareng (Klojen District), Tanjungrejo (Sukun District), and Dinoyo (Lowokwaru District). "However, according to the Mayor's Decree, all sub-districts in Malang City are the KB Village loci in 2023. In 2025, operational costs for KB Villages in 21 sub-districts have been proposed," she continued.
In addition to strengthening the KB Village, this activity also presented the socialization of the Early Warning Information System for Population Control (SiPerindu) by the Facilitator of the BKKBN Representative for East Java Province, Muhammad Rif'an Agus. This early warning for population control provides an overview and warns of potential or population problems that will arise due to the population situation and population control policies implemented in the community and stakeholders in the development sector.
"SiPerindu is here as a tool for the government and the community to get early warning information on population situations. SiPerindu also provides policy recommendations for preparedness and response to population control programs," said Rif'an.
SiPerindu not only provides an overview of the early warning status of the population situation in the region. Rif'an also said that this website-based application can be used as a reference center for the latest population planning data. In addition, SiPerindu is a source of data for the preparation of the Grand Design for Population Development (GDPK), and can also be a report card for the regional government. (ari/yn)
