First in East Java, Acting Mayor of Malang Inaugurates TUK Perumda Tugu Tirta

Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan inaugurated the Competency Test Place (TUK) owned by the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Tugu Tirta Drinking Water of Malang City, Tuesday (3/12/2024). He stated that the existence of this TUK is a positive step that must be appreciated, because it will be very beneficial for drinking water companies in East Java.

Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan inaugurated the Competency Testing Place (TUK) belonging to the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Tugu Tirta Drinking Water, Malang City.

TUK Perumda Tugu Tirta is not only the first and only in Malang City, but also a pioneer on the scale of East Java. "This is a very good place, and I hope it can be maximized. So that in the future from this place can produce experts in the field of drinking water management," he added.

In addition, the Acting Mayor of Malang also requested that this facility be balanced with various supporting programs. Thus, this real step can be more comprehensive and in accordance with the target, namely producing professional and competent workers, especially in the utilization of surface water.

Furthermore, the friendly man revealed that the Malang City Government also plans to maximize the use of surface water. "We have submitted the program to the Malang City DPRD, and most likely it will be approved," explained Iwan.

The number one person in the Malang City Government also expressed his gratitude for the support from the PUPR Ministry, USAID Tangguh, and Bappenas who were also present at the inauguration of the TUK. "We are ready to collaborate in the utilization and processing of water, especially surface water," he said.

On this occasion, the Acting Mayor of Malang also asked the ranks of Perumda Tugu Tirta to continue to innovate and serve the community well. Because, water is one of the basic needs that must be maintained in terms of quality. (say/yn)
