Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government together with related stakeholders and representatives of large market traders held a coordination meeting to discuss improvements to the Malang Big Market in the Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall, Monday (17/12/2024).
Acting Mayor of Malang Iwan Kurniawan revealed that the large market is currently still in the preparation stage to fulfill the requirements of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) which is targeted to be completed in January so that the handling process of the Malang Large Market runs according to plan.
He mentioned, for the realization of the budget from the central government, of course there are several requirements that must be met. "Alhamdulillah, last Friday when we had an audience with the Ministry of PU, the repair of Pasar Besar was prioritized. However, what must be underlined is that the budget for Pasar Besar has not been allocated yet," explained Iwan.
Acting Mayor of Malang mentioned several requirements that must be met, including approval from traders, the community, and completion of the DED (Detailed Engineering Design). "We have prepared the DED, and it will be reviewed next week by a team from the Ministry of PUPR," he explained.
The number one person in the Malang City Government said the target for completion of this stage is in January 2025. He also emphasized that he will oversee it until his term as Acting Mayor of Malang ends.
"We must not look back, we must focus on the future, how the requirements that have been determined can be met so that the budget from the PUPR Ministry is allocated," he concluded. (cah/yn)
