Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Persada Hospital Malang will stop services for BPJS Kesehatan patients as of January 1, 2025. As conveyed by the President Director of Persada Hospital Malang, Dr. Kristiawan Basuki Rahmat, Wednesday (18/12/2024), the hospital will focus on services for the general public and private insurance participants.

In response to this, the Malang City Government through the Malang City Health Service (Dinkes) respects the decision of Persada Hospital management which of course has been carefully considered.
"We understand that each health facility has its own vision, mission, and strategic policies in supporting health services to the community," explained the Head of the Malang City Health Office, dr. Husnul Muarif after attending a press conference at Persada Hospital Malang.
However, on this occasion the bespectacled man emphasized that the Malang City Government remains committed to ensuring accessibility of health services for the entire community, especially JKN-KIS participants.
"This decision does not reduce our efforts in providing quality and equitable health services through a network of other health facilities, including health centers, clinics, and BPJS Kesehatan partner hospitals that continue to operate," he added.
Husnul also invited the public to remain calm and support the concrete steps taken, including coordinating with BPJS Kesehatan to ensure that JKN-KIS participants can be transferred to other BPJS Kesehatan partner hospitals without any obstacles, both in terms of administration and medical services.
Then the next step is to increase the capacity of partner health facilities, which is realized through coordination with other hospitals to increase service capacity so that community needs are still met. Finally, Husnul said that his party opened an information and complaint channel for the community who needed clarity regarding access to health services after the Persada Hospital decision.
The decision to end the cooperation, said Husnul, may bring changes to the dynamics of health services in Malang City. However, Husnul is confident that with the synergy of all parties, both BPJS Kesehatan, partner hospitals, and local governments, the community can still be served well.
"We respect Persada Hospital's move to focus on non-JKN services, while appreciating the hospital's contribution over the years in supporting the JKN-KIS program. Hopefully this change can provide the best benefits for all parties," he concluded. (say/yn)
