Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – In an effort to organize and regulate parking in the Kayutangan Heritage Area (Jl. Basuki Rahmat), the Malang City Transportation Agency (Dishub) held a joint operation in order to socialize parking arrangements in the Kayutangan Area, Saturday (21/12/2024). This parking arrangement socialization targets residents, drivers, and parking attendants in the Kayutangan area.
Head of the Malang City Transportation Agency, R. Widjaja Saleh Putra, said that this arrangement is part of a strategic step to support smooth traffic and increase the comfort of visitors to the Kayutangan Heritage area, which is now one of the leading tourist destinations in Malang City.
The plan is to use the parking lot of the former Bank Mandiri Syariah building (Jalan Basuki Rahmat No. 8) and the former Environmental Service (DLH) building starting on December 23, 2024.
"The socialization of parking arrangements aims to realize Kayutangan as an area free from illegal parking, as well as in preparation for Christmas and New Year 2025. With good parking arrangements, of course it will be able to optimize comfort and security for the community," he explained.
This joint operation involved officers from the Malang City Police, the 0833 Malang City Military District Command, the V/3 Malang Military Police, the Malang City Garrison, the Malang City Civil Service Police Unit, the Malang City Bapenda, the Malang City Communication and Information Service, the Malang City Trade and Industry Service and the Malang City Transportation Service.
With the joint operation of socialization of Kayutangan parking arrangement, it is hoped that the community can play an active role in supporting strategic steps as a form of government commitment to realize shared comfort for a better Malang City. (nir/yn)
