Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – The Procurement of Goods and Services Section (BPBJ) of the Malang City Regional Secretariat launched the 'Free Shipping' application at the Malang Creative Center (MCC) Building, Malang City, Friday (27/12/2024).
Head of PBJ Section of Malang City Secretariat Eko Setyo Mahanani revealed that this application is basically the same as online store applications in general. So far, he said the 'Free Shipping' application is quite effective for use in government procurement of goods and services.
"This is one of the options for Regional Apparatus (PD) within the Malang City Government, especially when using the APBD so as not to be fixated on certain applications, such as e-catalogs," added the bespectacled man.
He added that this application is to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to go digital, make procurement more inclusive, and increase the use of domestic products. So that this application also becomes a place for MSME actors so that they can later move up a class.
"In addition, this application also encourages the use of marketplaces in government procurement of goods and services, which is expected to increase transparency and accountability of government spending," explained Eko. (say/yn)
