Malang (malangkota.go.id) – The Kedungkandang District Children's Forum and the Purwantoro Village Children's Forum won the title of the Most Innovative District and Village Children's Forum in Indonesia in 2024 at the 2024 National Children's Forum (FAN) Pedia which was announced on December 27, 2024.
The National Children's Forum seeks to maximize its role as a forum for aspirations and voices of Indonesian children, which in this context is in the form of mapping priority issues in each region. This assessment is based on reports of work results from each provincial region (including districts/cities, sub-districts/villages) related to programs implemented to address priority issues in their respective regions. Thus, the implementation of FAN Pedia is expected to encourage the spirit of the Regional Children's Forum to be active, creative, innovative, and provide solutions in addressing children's issues in their regions.
Regarding this achievement, the companion of the Malang City Children's Forum, Achmad Lutfi, said that the Malang City Children's Forum strives to continue to support the empowerment of children and adolescents, including to overcome various problems faced. "This success shows a commitment to developing the potential of children in Malang, as well as creating space for them to actively participate in various social and development activities," he explained when confirmed, Saturday (28/12/2024)
Lutfi gave an example of priority issues raised by the Kedungkandang District Children's Forum, related to optimizing the children's forum as a forum for children's participation to carry out the roles of Pioneers and Reporters (2P) and Children's Participation in the Development Process (PAPP). In its report, the Kedungkandang Children's Forum conveyed 13 activities as superior work programs that have been carried out and followed. Various activities carried out include socialization and training, reorganization, and participation in discussion forums organized by the Malang City Government.
