Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Asta Citra Perupa Malang again held a painting exhibition at the Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Building, Thursday (9/1/2025). This exhibition displays 72 beautiful paintings by 38 painters from various regions in East Java.
The exhibition's chief executive, Bambang 'Simbah' Randika Santoso, said that the exhibition at the Malang City DPRD Building was the ninth exhibition since Asta Citra Perupa Malang was established. This exhibition is a routine agenda that serves as a forum for painters from various schools in Malang Raya and several other areas in East Java to display their best works.
"This exhibition is packaged very interestingly, in the form of a Painting and Cultural Arts Exhibition attended by painters from Surabaya, Sidoarjo and Gresik and Banyuwangi. Hopefully this exhibition can be a real contribution from artists in Malang Raya for Malang City, East Java and also the Indonesian Nation," he explained.
The Gebyar Painting and Art and Culture Exhibition will take place from January 6-12, 2025. In addition to paintings, various works by Malang City artists are also displayed, both in the form of typical Malang udeng and also various keris and souvenirs from artists in Malang Raya. "The exhibition opens every day from 10.00:17.00 WIB and closes at XNUMX:XNUMX WIB, according to the working hours of the Malang City DPRD," said Bambang.
Meanwhile, one of the participants of the Gebyar Painting and Art and Culture Exhibition, Arif Budiman, admitted that he was very happy to be able to participate in this exhibition. He said that as an artist, he had not worked for quite a long time for the past ten years.
Arif said that in this exhibition he exhibited two of his paintings. "This exhibition is my encouragement to return to painting after a long time of not drawing anymore," he explained. (cah/yn)
