3 Kg LPG Price Increases, Pertamina Guarantees Stock Availability

Malang (malangkota.go.id) – In response to the adjustment of the Highest Retail Price (HET) for subsidized 3-kilogram Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the East Java region, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus ensures that the LPG stock in Pertamina's distribution chain up to the Official 3kg LPG Depot is in a safe condition.

The price adjustment of subsidized LPG 3 kg which will come into effect on January 15, 2025 in accordance with the Decree of the Acting Governor of East Java No. 100.3.3.1/801/KPTS/013/2024 from IDR 16.000 to IDR 18.000.

The implementation of the new HET is purely a decision of the Acting Governor of East Java without Pertamina's intervention by considering several conditions, one of which is that the HET in the Provinces of Bali and Central Java and DIY has increased by the same price.

Comm, Rel & CSR Area Manager, Ahad Rahedi, when giving a statement, Friday (17/1) said that with this HET adjustment, the public does not need to panic buy. "We continue to make efforts to invite retailers to upgrade to become bases, so that they can serve the wider community. Retailers themselves are not part of the supervised distribution chain because they do not have contracts with agents or bases," he continued.

So if you want to buy a 3 kg LPG cylinder, it is recommended to buy it at the depot, because if one of the provisions is not complied with by the depot, sanctions will be given in the form of stopping allocation up to Termination of Business Relations (PHU).

"Currently, there are more than two bases in all villages/sub-districts in East Java. Later, with more retailers changing their status to official bases, it will certainly be easier and more convenient for the community to get 3 Kg Subsidized LPG," said Ahad.

Ahad added, with the adjustment of the HET for subsidized LPG 3 kg according to the direction of the East Java Provincial Government, Pertamina has carried out several socialization activities, starting from socialization with the East Java Provincial Government and related regional apparatuses, Hiswana Migas, SPBE to PSO LPG Agents.

Furthermore, to ensure that LPG prices are in accordance with the HET as has been implemented periodically, Pertamina routinely conducts monitoring and evaluation and spot checks to ensure that Pertamina depots provide prices in accordance with the HET.

Currently, the total number of 3 kg LPG bases in East Java has reached 34.739 bases, with 142 retailers who have been upgraded to bases and there are still more than 400 retailers who are in the process of becoming bases. LPG stocks in East Java are in a safe condition at 9.010 metric tons with an average daily consumption of 4.668 metric tons.

"Furthermore, as a form of supervision, we will also continue to carry out data collection on purchases of subsidized 3 kg LPG to ensure the existence of distribution data and the fairness of use of subsidized goods," concluded Ahad. (say/yn)
